Fujian Zhanhua Chemical Co., Ltd., built against the mountains, has traversed twenty years like a resolute traveler following the mountain paths. On this seemingly rugged yet promising land, it has penned a remarkable legend of high-quality development in the private economy.

Over the past 20 years, Fujian Zhanhua has won numerous honorary titles, such as the national "Specialized and Sophisticated 'Little Giant' Enterprise", the national "High-tech Enterprise", the "Single-Product Champion Enterprise" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (the first in the city), and the national "Green Factory".

Twenty years ago, while most enterprises preferred to seek development in bustling cities or plains with convenient transportation, Gao Tangshun, the founder of Fujian Zhanhua, showed unique insight. With passion and perseverance for his career, he chose this mountainous area as the starting point of his dream.

At that time, the infrastructure in Qingliu was underdeveloped, and the roads were winding and inconvenient. However, Gao Tangshun was attracted by the favorable investment environment and great development potential of Qingliu County. The initial stage of entrepreneurship was extremely difficult. Fujian Zhanhua was originally an idle old factory. After being deserted for many years, the production area was filled with garbage and weeds, and even more than 10-centimeter-thick Chinese parasol trees grew in the dormitory building. Just for the dormitory sanitation, a dozen temporary workers spent three full days cleaning. To save time and transportation costs, Gao Tangshun directly laid a straw mat on the concrete floor and slept in the dormitory building that had been uninhabited for three years for about ten days. Besides the tough living conditions, there were also many difficulties and challenges such as inconvenient transportation, shortage of technical talents, and tight funds. With firm belief and unyielding spirit, Gao Tangshun led the Fujian Zhanhua team to continuously invest in scientific research and development, introduce advanced technologies and equipment, cooperate with university research institutions, cultivate and recruit a group of outstanding professionals, and successively overcome one technical problem after another. The product quality was continuously improved, and the market share gradually expanded. In 2004, the first ammonium persulfate production line was put into use, with an annual production capacity of 2,500 tons. In 2005, the first sodium persulfate production line was put into use, with an annual production capacity of 1,000 tons. In 2008, the comprehensive production capacity of persulfates reached 10,000 tons, making it the largest production enterprise in the country. In 2013, a new potassium persulfate production line with an annual output of 7,000 tons was added, and the total production capacity of persulfates was expanded to 30,000 tons per year, completing the full range of persulfate product lines and ranking first in Asia in terms of production capacity. In 2018, the comprehensive production capacity was further expanded to 50,000 tons, making it the world's largest persulfate production enterprise.

Striving for Green Development and Pursuing Dreams. In recent years, Fujian Zhanhua has actively responded to the national "dual-carbon" policy and carried out school-enterprise cooperation with Zhejiang University of Technology, Fuzhou University and other institutions of higher education, successively overcoming dozens of technical problems in electrolytic load materials, ammonia gas recycling and other processes. Among them, the sodium persulfate waste gas recycling project was selected as the "Regional Development Project of Fujian Science and Technology Department" in 2019 and successfully passed the acceptance inspection, with an ammonia recovery rate of over 99.9%, becoming the only persulfate production enterprise in the world that can achieve "full recycling of three wastes". In November 2023, it won the title of "National Green Factory".

After three phases of technological transformation and upgrading projects, Fujian Zhanhua will be able to recycle 5,700 tons of ammonia gas from sodium persulfate and produce 22,000 tons of ammonium sulfate equivalent from ammonia water annually after the new project reaches full production capacity, increasing the recycling value by nearly 17 million yuan per year, completely solving the technical problem of ammonia gas emission in sodium persulfate production. Over the past 20 years of following the mountains, Fujian Zhanhua has not only achieved remarkable economic benefits but also actively participated in the construction of people's livelihood undertakings. The enterprise spends about 1 million yuan annually on welfare distribution to the local elderly, poor students, and college students, sponsors dragon boat races and basketball games held in the county, and supports the upgrading of infrastructure in impoverished villages and other public welfare undertakings. For the Qingliu County Education Foundation alone, the company has cumulatively donated 1.5 million yuan and has served as the "Vice President Unit of Qingliu County Education Foundation". "Looking ahead, the company will continue to adhere to its original intention and work intensively on this land in Qingliu," said Gao Tangshun. Fujian Zhanhua will take more firm steps, driven by innovation and with environmental protection as its responsibility, to write a more glorious chapter of entrepreneurship and contribute more to the high-quality development of Qingliu in the mountainous area.
